Japanese broker AFT FX said on Friday it has decided to stop supporting the Market Link forex trading platform. The change will take effect as of the second half of January 2016, the broker added, without explaining its decision in the statement published on its website.
Starting 29 January next year, users will not be able to log into their Market Link accounts and access data. Due to this, users need to close their accounts by 26 January, or AFT FX will be forced to do so itself.
The last trades on the Market Link platform will take place on 22 January, 2016.
The broker has already stopped allowing clients to open new trading accounts on the Market Link platform and will no longer accept new applications.
Existing AFT FX customers, who are using the Market Link trading platform, can switch to Trade Link, another such platform supported by the broker for ECN trades which will continue its normal operations. They will be provided detailed guidance as to how to make the switch, transfer funds, and use the platform. They will need to open new accounts in order to use Trade Link.
