Online forex broker OANDA Corporation released on Wednesday an update to its OANDA fxTrade mobile application for devices with Android operating system, with which the company has added tap functions for trade placement. The updated version allows to tap the current price arrow on charts to place a trade and to tap anywhere else in the price axis to place a limit order.
The broker has introduces other minor changes to the trading app. The application now remembers last selected account. In addition, OANDA has made time period buttons smaller and has added forward/back buttons in the news section, and has also enabled an auto-fill option for the current price when creating price alerts.
Bug fixes have also been made – the app now only logs in when it needs to and Trade Default values update as users enter the quote price for limit orders. The broker has added more precision on order info in orders list, as well.
OANDA’s last update of the fxTrade app for Android was released about a month ago. Then, the company added an economic calendar to the app and fixed system bugs to enhance performance.
OANDA operates the fxTrade online trading platform, in addition to the industry-leader MetaTrader 4 (MT4). Users of fxTrade can open live and demo forex trading accounts, choose from a wide range of charts, and follow the latest industry news. The platform requires no software installation and can be accessed from anywhere via any popular web browser. The mobile application is available for both iOS and Android operating systems. fxTrade has been downloaded by 100,000-500,000 Android users.

OANDA is not the only forex broker to develop a mobile application for trading. FxPro, Trading 212, TFIFX, Dukascopy, Swissquote, FXTM, and Vantage FX are among the forex brokers with trading apps for Android/iOS users.
