Offshore online forex broker OctaFX has started offering the web-based version of the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) trading platform. Users can access it via mt4.octafx.com.
MetaQuotes, the developer of MT4, launched the web version in September 2015 and received orders for it from more than 100 companies within the first month. The web version’s interface is similar to that of the desktop platform. The MT4 WebTrader runs across all web browsers and is compatible with all operating systems for desktop and mobile devices, alike. Users of the web platform do not need to download or install any software to trade via it; all they need is a browser and an Internet connection.
MT4, also available both as a desktop software and a mobile application, is the worlds’ most widely-used trading platform. It has outstanding customized charting package, auto-trading capabilities and signal copying, and is user-friendly. It makes trading easy even for novice traders. Traders can download ready-made or create their own automated trading strategies (Expert Advisors, or EAs), scripts and custom indicators in the MQL programming language.
Other brokers that offer the web version of the trading platform include brokerage group Alpari, Cyprus-licensed forex broker XM, Belize-registered FX Choice, UK-licensed One Financial Markets and Admiral Markets, and Australia’s IC Markets and DMM FX Australia.
OctaFX was set up in 2011. It is registered and licensed in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, an offshore destination for forex brokers. It offers Micro, ECN and Swap-free trading accounts to clients of more than 100 countries worldwide.
Other trading platforms that the broker offers are the desktop version of MT4, the desktop and web versions of cTrader, and their mobile applications for iOS and Android.
