Russia-based financial software developer MetaQuotes released on Tuesday an update to the mobile application of the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) trading platform for iOS devices, which featires an option for the setting up of a PIN code for access.
Users of the iOS MT4 trading app are now provided woth higher security protection enev in cases when they lose their mobile devices. The setting is easy to turn on and the default PIN code is similar to the one used to access the one-time password generator.
The MT4 mobile app is available for Android devices, as well,but this version currently does not have a PIN code setting.
MT4 is available both as a desktop and mobile application and, since September 2015, as a web version. It is the worlds’ most widely-used trading platform. With its outstanding charting package, auto-trading capabilities and signal copying, the platform is user-friendly and even novice traders can easily find their way around it. Traders can download ready-made or create their own automated trading strategies (Expert Advisors, or EAs), scripts and custom indicators in the MQL programming language.
Forex brokers that are offering the web-based trading platform include brokerage group Alpari, Cyprus-licensed forex broker XM and its Belize-registered peer FX Choice, among others.
