According to a statement by the company, the trading platform provider eToro has now entered into a partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The newly cut out deal makes eToro the “Official Online Trading Partner of UFC” in Australia and New Zealand which was announced yesterday during the match between Whittaker and Adesanya in Melbourne.
Nick Smith, vice president of global partnership at UFC, had the following to say regarding the announcement: “We are thrilled that eToro is joining us as UFC’s new Online Trading Partner in Australia and New Zealand. A partnership in this space with a global company like eToro demonstrates the continued innovation and growth that UFC has developed in-market”
The partnership means that the logo of eToro will now be visible inside the octagon ring, as well as on stadiums, social content and consumer promotions.
This new business venture comes a few months after eToro launched its Australian subsidiary and it is obviously part of a marketing strategy to create brand awareness in the region.
According to Robert Francis, managing director of eToro Australia: “We partner with sports teams around the world in order to try and reach as many people as possible with the main aim of getting them interested in investing. The UFC has an incredibly devoted and passionate fan base, which is why we chose it as our first partnership in Australia.”
Aside from the deal with UFC, the multi-asset trading platform also partners with six premier league teams for the current season.
