Grayscale’s digital assets under management total recently crossed a record-high $40 billion. The largest crypto asset manager to date reached this record after the incredible spike in both bitcoin and ethereum prices that have been top news for the last couple of weeks. The complete and total value of Grayscale’s BTC holding is priced at more than $34 billion, with a total of 654 000 bitcoin in the firm’s possession as of writing this.
The Grayscale digital assets under management surpassed the $40 billion mark only after BTC and ethereum went above $52 000 and 1900 respectively. The asset manager giant has greatly accelerated its amassing of crypto coins ever since the start of 2021. However, the firm started the year with $20 billion in crypto holding, which has more than doubled since then.
Apart from bitcoin, the second largest and most important cryptocurrency today is Ethereum, which is consequently the 2nd largest holding of the company. Grayscale has more than 3.15 million ethereum coins valued at $5.85 billion.
Other digital coins that Grayscale has been after and has increased its accumulation of include litecoin, ethereum classic, and bitcoin cash. The firm has over $1.39 litecoin under its management, a total of $204 million in value of bitcoin cash holdings, and some $186 million in ethereum classic.
