SEC Moves to Blacklist 58 Fraudulent Sites, Including One Regulator Impersonator

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has updated its list of flagged website with 58 new entries. Out of these, there are 11 clone sites, and 1 fake regulator. The rest are the classic run-of-the-mill investment schemes. The regulator added these on its Public Alert: Unregistered Soliciting Entities (PAUSE) this Monday.

Some of the most3 notable names, i.e standouts, are 247Crypto Trade, 24Brickstonefx.com, 24TradeConnect, AipCapitaltrade, and ApexFuturesFX. Meanwhile, the crucial imitator firms are revealed are Digital Capital Markets LLC, Apex Global Finance, Avery Wealth, and Drala-Capital.

On top of these, PAUSE lists an interesting entity, one Financial Securities Authority, a so-called fake regulator claiming false government ties and associates, located in Arlington, Virginia.

SEC reminds investors and general users that it has a regularly updated lists of regulated and unregulated firms which clients should occasionally check in order to avoid damage to thier finances and personal details. SEC notes that

“Under U.S. securities laws, firms that solicit investors generally are required to register with the SEC and meet minimum financial standards and disclosure, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements.”

SEC warns users to double check on false SEC agents and communicators posing as the agency’s employees.
