Beware! WorldEmpires.ltd is an offshore broker! Your investment may be at risk.
RECOMMENDED FOREX BROKERS
Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Open trading accounts with at least two brokers.
WorldEmpires.ltd. Yes this is the name of a supposed broker, not an online browser based strategy game or some far right history website. In our mental lists of the most ludicrously named brokers, WorldEmpires.ltd might just be somewhere in the top three. There is nothing in the name to remotely refer to the broker business, and we don’t think that the firm ever tried so. Rather, we think it chose the name to attract attention on itself, which it hopes could turn into profit.
In fact, this might very well be true because registering was incredibly easy, and in seconds we were redirected to a very shady client dashboard that lacked any sort of legitimacy. To make matters even worse, there was no trading software anywhere revealed on the website nor on the user area. More details of this to come.
Without a software, there are no applicable trading assets, spreads, or leverages. Simply put WorldEmpires.ltd does not offer FX and CFDs trading.
WORLDEMPIRES.LTD REGULATION AND SAFETY OF FUNDS
At some point during our review of the broker we stumbled upon a claim revealing the company to be headquartered in Poland. But it’s just as easily to state that WorldEmpires.ltd has a base on the moon, and get it over with without showing any sort of evidence for it. And judging by the lack of evidence to support either claim, who’s to say that the Polish assertion has more capacity for truth that the moon one?
In order to be registered on Poland, a nation in the European Union for one, a wanna-be broker must first pass the test from the local regulator, as all brokers before it have. The local regulator in this case is the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), a serious and assertive organization that does not take lightly to scammer brokers or unworthy entries. As you might expect by now, WorldEmpires.ltd is not regulated by the KNF, and has no legal affiliation with the sate of Poland. It might be registered illegally there, entailing an upcoming closure of its entire operation.
If you are investing in an unregulated broker better not invest at all; at least in the latter occasion you will not be ensnared in an investment scam that will not only take your money but will greatly waste your time and energy. Better yet, if you have the will to invest, and either are skilled at it or want to expand your knowledge, there is no better way to go than any of the European, UK, US, or Australian brokers we have compiled for you. These are all regulated, and so are up to industry standards, but are also limited in the amount of freedom they can have by some of the top regulators!
WORLDEMPIRES.LTD TRADING SOFTWARE
We did not see any fucntioning web trader or desktop software anywhere, either on the website or the user area. All we saw were third party charts that were included to look like web traders.
In fact, the only thing that WorldEmpires.ltd is actually going for is a single investment plan that requires a $5000 investment:
After that the user is expected to gain 10 percent profit each week, which is not only unrealistic but impossible. There is no indication as to where or what the user is investing in, nor where this profit is coming from. Of course, no such gains will ever be experienced by the trader.
WORLDEMPIRES.LTD DEPOSIT/WITHDRAW METHODS AND FEES
From the user area we are explicitly told that the minimum deposit requirement is $5000, which is incidentally also the minimum requirement for the only investment package available. It seems to us that aims excessively high with this deposit requirement, and suggests to us that it targets more affluent users, but even so it doe snot change the fact that $5000 is unreasonably high, no matter the broker, illegit or otherwise.
To make matters worse, the only way to invest, and withdrawal, is through a BTC wallet, an untraceable payment method, largely preferred by 90% of scammer brokers today. All money invest through this method will be lost, unless the broker feels kind hearted for some reason (they never do!).
There are mentions of fees but in typical scammer broker style these have been left completely unrevealed. So, all we know is that there are applicable charges and commissions, but the details of them have been purposefully withheld.
Do not invest in WorldEmpires.ltd! It will steal all your money!
HOW DOES THE SCAM WORK
Scams have surprisingly little evolved over the past decades since their inception. It’s basically the same principle being rendered through different sites and by a plethora of different agents.
The core remains the same. The broker tries to grab the client’s attention either by advertising false profit gains, or by directly contacting the user, who is the vastness of the internet let his guard down at some point and either provided an email or a phone number to some now forgotten source.
Should the user get contacted (or fall for the ads) he or she will be shown to the website of the investment fraud and promptly be pushed to invest, either by sweet talking representatives of the scam, or by the account manager which is also the one that keeps the whole thing in check.
The ultimate goal is to compel the user to invest once, and after that the trap is fully shut. The client already lost money, and any further investments are a bonus to the broker. All withdrawals will not be available, and even if the broker seems to be keeping a straight face, it’s all part of the scheme.
Sometimes the users will get a small teasing taste of profit, just so they are motivated to invest more. But after that one time is when most clients realize that something is wrong.
WHAT TO DO IF SCAMMED
The best thing to do is to file for a charge back with your credit or debit card provider, provided that you had previously invested via them. MasterCard and VISA have a chargeback period of 540 days, so its relatively easy to get reimbursed, and that’s why fewer and fewer scammer brokers are offering card payments.
An easier way to lose money is through wire investments. The only advise we can give you is to contact the bank as soon as the money has been lost (or when you realize you have been played). That and to change your bank account password and user name!
We come to the favorite investment methods of unlicensed brokers – crypto wallets. These are untraceable, and thus once a payment goes through it’s finished! There is no real way of getting one’s money back.
Also do not trust recovery agent or agencies promising to get your money back. These will fee you a hefty sum in return for their services, but as soon as you pay them they will disappear!
