MT4 and MT5 No Longer on AppStore, Removed by Apple

Last weekend the MT4 and MT5 were officially pulled from the App store, Apple Inc’s online store for applications and services. As it currently stands, both the MT4 and MT5 are unavailable to download at the time of writing this.

Official financial news media Finance Magnates reported that they were contacted by a MetaQuotes representative, who stated that the reason for the pull was that the platforms were no longer in compliance with the App Store’s Review Guidelines. The rep added that these changes will not affect those users who have already downloaded either one of the trading terminals.

However, Finance Magnates noted that the rep commented that significant loses have already being felt across the MetaQuotes company. Allegedly, this ban will affect both the company and the industry as a whole. MetaQuotes is in contact with Apple in order to resolve the problem as soon as possinle.

The ever popular MT4 and MT5 were developed by Cypriot-based MetaQuotes, and have exploded onto the forex scene as the best trading platforms around, with both users and companies referring back to the duo. Earlier this June, MetaQuotes officially revealed that for the first time the MT5 has surpassed the MT4 in terms of popularity.
