15 new investment domains have been blocked in France by the leading regulators, the French Financial Market Authority (AMF) and the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR). One of these is an illicit cryptocurrency platform.
The list of the ACPR and AMF flagged domains is as follows: fr.puprime.net, silveriz.fr, 1market.com/fr, bitictrade.com, lions-broker.com, t4trade.com, virtuscapital.world, 24cryptoforextrading.net, raisefx.com, vestapros.com, valutamarkets.com, boursecapital.net, cryptoneyx.io, multibankfx.com, fr.finaguide.com, and traderhouse.com
All of these are unauthorized to offer their services in France, as warned by both the regulators.
According to the regulators the total number of scammer sites that were backlisted actually fell by 30% to a total of 49 platforms. Last year they were 61. Moreover, there has been a noticeable drop in French investors; this year a 35% drop was experienced in the industry during Q3.
The AMF warned all users not to trade with unregulated brokers. It urges all users to check if a service provider’s authorized to operate in the country. The regulator refers clients to the official website of the AMF where anyone can check if a firm is licensed or not.
